Matrices – Inroduction
Knowledge of matrix is essential for different branches of mathematics. Matrices are one of the most powerful tools of mathematics. This mathematical tool simplifies our work to a great extent compared to other simple methods. The development of the concept of the matrix is the result of an attempt to achieve compact and simple methods to solve a system of linear equations. Matrix is used not only as a representation of coefficients in a system of linear equations, but the utility of matrix is much higher than that used.
Matrix notation and operation are used in electronic spreadsheet programs for individual computers, which are in turn used in various fields of business and science such as budget, sales projection, cost estimates, analysis of the results of an experiment, etc. Also, many physical operations such as magnification, rotation, and reflection through a plane can be mathematically represented by the matrix.
Matrices are also used in cryptography. This mathematical tool is used not only in some branches of science but also in genetics, economics, sociology, modern psychology, and industrial management.
