The West Bengal Government on Saturday announced that all Government and Private Institutions: schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed till 31st, due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19.
“It has been decided that all Government, government-aided, private educational institutions – school, colleges, universities, madrasahs, SSK/MSK will remain closed from 16 march, 2020 to 31 March 2020 in the public interest”.

This statement also added that internal examination of these institutions will remain suspended during this duration but the Board Examinations will be held as per schedule.
This notice comes a day after the state government decided to suspend all sports events till March 31. The Indian Institute of Technology – Kharagpur (IITKGP) also decide that classes and examinations will be suspended till March 31, 2020.
